SNAKX Radio is a platform established in 2022 by John Moore (Fatshan on Instagram) to bring attention to musical artists in the DMV area. The DMV is an area on the east coast of the United States of America that comprises the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

Creator John Moore has been tirelessly behind and in front of SNAKX radio.It began as a bi-weekly listening party that was broadcast through Stationhead. Stationhead is an online radio platform that allows you to connect with your supporters. John takes pride in the fact that he has started his brand from the bottom.

From there, John and his team began creating engaging video content that allowed supporters to view their creativity authentically. This strategy was great for cultivating a community of artists and developing the brand. He decided to develop Snakxonline, a clothing line to promote SNAKX Radio.

As the brand progressed, John was called to executive produce a mixtape featuring the artists he had worked with. With such an eye and ear for talent, he has cultivated a unique blend of artists for SNAKX Radio: The Mixtape V1. A contemporary mixtape featuring an eclectic blend of DMV & global artists.

The mixtape cleverly opens with an intro track that is someone changing the dial on a radio station. This creative opening immediately grabs the listener transporting them into the world of SNAKX radio. 

The mixtape has a melodic trap influence from the catchy ad-libs, hollow sound, and repetitive beats it is a mixtape that stands alone. The mixtape focuses on familiar concepts, getting money, relationships, braggadocious vibrato, and heartfelt stories from each artist.

You can hear influences from mainstream artists such as Travis Scott, Future, and Rae Sremmud. Their influence is evident in standout tracks like Perplexed, Tell Me Radio, and Vacant House. Each track evokes a sense of nostalgia.

The artists also pay homage to Kendrick Lamar, the chart-topping rapper of 2024. Backseat Freestyle 2 takes a new approach to the iconic song with a smoother sound as opposed to the original track. 

This combination of artists is the reason why SNAKX radio is on its way to becoming a powerhouse platform in the DMV area. The album will officially be out on January 17th, 2025 on all streaming platforms.
