2017 Was THAT YEAR

If I may begin this post with, I apologize for my lacking of posting. This post will explain it all.

2017

This year has been a year of purpose, determination, and growth. When the year started, I had no idea what was going to unfold. Ok, that is not completely true, I knew that I would be paying the price for scheduling mishaps and not be able to register for classes in the spring. But I’ll post about that later, What I am going to do is try to sum up my year using gifs, pictures, and videos.

THE HIGHS OF THE YEAR

CONCERTS

By now you know that I am a huge concert junkie. Any show that I go to, I already know that I am going to act a fool, go in on ten and leave with acknowledgment from the artists and get at least three numbers.  This year I was fortunate to see Noname, Ravyn Lenae MalikDopeDrummer, Taylor Bennett, Morocco Brown, and Brian Fresco. Each of them added to their set in a phenomenal way, whether it be the energy they brought to stage or the heartfelt messages of love and support. (S/O to MalikDopeDrummer for bringing me on stage during the Taylor Bennett show)

BLOGGING

This year I was way more consistent with my blogging. Feel free to go through my post again. I am thankful for those who took time out of their lives to share their lives with me. GSuave, Tyler, MalikDopeDrummer, and Selena.

Vlogging

This year I broke one of my sacred rules, and that is no recording during a live performance. So in an attempt to give my readers more content, I tried my hand at vlogging the show, only to find out after the show, all of the footage I had taken had not been saved.  So I am glad that this bit of shots were saved and my phone somehow edited them all together with this upbeat instrumental. Also I along with some creatives have created a youtube channel: The Vinyl Village

  • My phone and computers being inoperable for more than 1/2 the year. The only downside was having to complete all of my assignments on campus. Other than that being disconnected from the world was blissful.

  • Losing my friend.

FAILED DIET

tenor.gifThe title says it all, in the beginning of the year I purchased a gym membership to my school’s gym. I’d go first thing in the morning and go at it for an hour. (Public locker rooms are filled with old men walking around naked…gross) In the summertime, I’d run and do a workout routine my brother gave me. Throughout all of this, I never weighed myself or changed my eating patterns. I’d go through periods of eating unhealthy foods, not eating, binge eating and eating semi-healthy foods.  2018 is for developing better self-control methods and healthier foods.

2017 was that year without a doubt, I know that I will make 2018 even better though.  Thank you all for your continued support and guidance in my life.
